Project

Digital data was used to create Illumination’s CNC-mill female EPS molds, making several segments of this sculpture using the matched flange method. The interior and exterior FRP skins of these segments were joined with bulkheads for stiffness and ease of assembly.


Assembly was done by incorporating a post-tensioned assembly system.The surface finish was Italian veneer plaster.
