These code compliant fire resistant panels surround a swimming pool at the top floor of this residential tower. Because of the humidity and sharp, precisely designed crisp edges, FRP was preferred over other materials. Originally the design assumed an elaborate metal stud support structure behind these panels. K&A was able to show that using finite element analysis engineering the amount of backing support could be dramatically reduced, thus shortening construction time and cost.
