K&A Scope of Work: Generate paraboloidal surface using CAD, CNC milling of foam, fiberglass dome, final product, finish.

Project Description:
The 6 foot diameter paraboloidal dome was generated in CAD. Tool paths were created over the surface and then the mold was machined out of foam. The FRP lay-up was 3/16" thick with a primer gelcoat interior.

The fiberglass dome was designed to reflect sound with the sound source located at the focus of the paraboloid so that the sound "rains" down evenly.
