K&A Scope of Work: Scanning and enlargement of maquette, foam machining, design of internal steel support frame.
Project Description: This 4-story tall lion statue stands in front of the MGM Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. K&A shipped the cut foam pieces to Arizona, where they were stacked and shaped. A mold was then made from the foam structure, in large segments. The entire statue was then cast in bronze and the pieces were welded together over the support frame.
