K & A Architectural Restoration and Conservation Services

K&A is a leader in architectural restoration and conservation services. We have worked with leading architects, designers, contractors and developers on numerous landmark projects. We have the capability to work from old architectural plans, draw new ones, or create molds from existing elements.

Lightweight, durable fiberglass is an excellent alternate material for replicating historic building ornamentation. Moldable into virtually any shape and able to replicate hundreds of colors and textures, this proven material is used by restoration architects throughout the world to replace sheet metal, terra cotta, cast and carved stone, and cast metal.

Building owners and architects are increasingly anxious to preserve and maintain buildings with historic significance. Older building styles often require repair or replacement of their ornamentation. When the original material is unavailable or impractical to use due to cost or structural considerations, composites make an excellent alternate material. K&A has pioneered the use of composite materials for this application. Below are a few of the many successful examples. When considering the use of composites for restoration, strict guidelines and engineering criteria must be applied. K&A has a proven track record in this field.
